goodbye pandoran legs.ĭeceptor mg: 4/10 24 shred is nice early, and the biochemist perk makes this gun amazing. Better than a shotgun, at least, as it can do damage and utility at the same time. Hel-2 cannon: 4/10 Seeing as the cannons are only effective at close range, you might as well go for the biggest calibre, with the most shock and shred. Most of the time, a 5 weight piece of metal rebar would be as good as this. If you're in range to fire this and hit, then you're in range to move up and punch the bastard with it. If the best thing about a gun is that it is a better melee weapon than the actual dedicated melee weapons, then it is a poorly designed gun. it is actually a good weapon - but for one reason. oh it can hit at close range, it can cause daze. Scorpion: 10/10 I looked, and behold, a pale horse and he who sat on it had the name death. Sure, you can use quick aim, but the hera benefits from that more. 70 damage is also really high damage if you're trying to capture an enemy. 16 isn't enough to paralyse anything worth keeping, and 3ap is a high price. Hide yo legs, hide yo regeneration torsos, gungnir wants blood.Īthena: 1/10 16 paralysis sounds like a lot but it's only 5.3 per ap spent (which is less than the pistol), and there are drawbacks. Gungnir: 10/10 High damage, reliably delivered where you want it. 50 pierce makes that easy even on things like sirens and chirons, and once you get the sniper shred talent you don't have to worry about armour half the time. Raven: 9/10 Sniper rifles use their high single shot damage to focus damage with the aim of disabling a body part. Pythagoras 7: 7/10 Better than the firebird, does what you want.Ĭyclops: 7/10 I love accuracy, but few maps have large enough sight lines for it to be an issue, and when it takes 3ap to shoot more damage is always appreciated. Shard gun: 9/10 the ancient weapons are as powerful as they are a pain to acquire.įirebird: 5/10 The most reliable earlygame weapon and the basic standard for snipers. it will have about the same damage and accuracy without bothering to research or build the idea of slug-firing shotguns. Slamstrike shotgun: 0/10 If you really want this, get a sniper rifle and put it on someone without proficiency. Basically a utility weapon but turns armoured enemies into targets. Extra shots improves the chance of hitting worms, i guess. if you're using shotguns at point blank it is an upgrade, but that requires using them. Iconoclast: 3/10 more shots, less accuracy. Great at killing unarmoured targets, like literally everything. 10 armour cuts that to 200, and that's only if every shot hits. Infinite ammo means you can fire it off with free aim at max range and if even one projectile hits, that is 5 shred where a standard rifle needs 5 hits for the same effect. Not for killing tritons and such - but the ability to slap 60 acid on a siren or scylla and watch its armour melt away is gorgeous. Piranha: 7/10 I like shred, I think it's super important, but for human sized enemies and smaller the pierce damage is really helpful.ĭanchev: 8/10 I'm going to stand by my boy here and say that acid and infinite ammo is good. Great when it works, will kill your people at some point. This promotes a very close range strategy, which is very all or nothing. It hits for a bit more damage, but it hits a lot less. 20 armour becomes standard at a certain point, and this has more shred anyway, so it's better right? BUT The accuracy on this thing sucks. I did the maths a while back and against 20 armour or higher this results in more damage than the above rifles. 180 damage and 6 shred max per shot, 90 damage and 3 shred per ap spent.ĭeimos: 6/10 One of the few straight upgrades in the game, this is the ares with better accuracy.īulldog: 6/10 I think this gun might actually be an 8 or a 3. decent damage, decent shred, decent accuracy (for pp). This is all my opinion, some are probably very wrong or not fitting with your playstyle.Īres: 5/10 This is the standard, the control.
